At Detroit Training Center (DTC), we strive to provide our students with the necessary skills to empower themselves, their families, and communities. Our program offers job placement assistance among other opportunities for career growth.

This 4 week hands-on training program will provide students with the skills necessary to work in assembly for aluminum, hardware, and glass to make curtain-wall and other building enclosure systems.

Training Program Prerequisite

Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or two years experience equivalent.


Credentials earned

  • First Aid: First aid is emergency care meant to provide to ill or injured people while professional medical treatment arrives. It’s meant to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and promote recovery.

  • CPR Certification: This is a lifesaving emergency procedure meant to double and even triple the chance of survival of people suffering from cardiac arrest. It stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

With this information, you can properly estimate the cost of the project.

  • Glass Installation: Proper window installation is important for any remodeling or construction project. Get trained on the best practices and installation techniques according to the industry’s standards.

  • Assembly Operation: Assembly is the process in which two or more parts are joined either permanently or semi-permanently to form a new element.

  • Caulking Machine Operator: Caulk is used to sealing seams or joints against leaking in structures and piping.
