DTC designed this course to prepare students with the knowledge and skills required to pass the mandatory exam for licensure as a State of Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator. Commercial Pesticide Application is a high-growth, high-demand area in the landscaping industry. Following the course, students receive a certificate of completion. After successfully passing the state exam CORE and subcategories, students will receive a State License allowing them to use restricted chemicals. This three-day training will cover the Commercial Applicator principles, Category 3A - Turfgrass Pest Management, Category 3B - Ornamental Pest Management. Students enrolled in the course will receive a comprehensive study guide covering the lectures and exam materials. Hands-on demonstrations and best practices will be covered.
